Full movies on iPlayer — since when?

January 6th, 2009 by Dave Leave a reply »

Did this one completely pass me by? Noticed tonight that the (rather pants) film ‘What Women Want’ is on BBC iPlayer. They must have done some serious rights wangling to get that one sewn up.

It’s great news, of course: How often do you seen great films on at times that you’re never watching the TV?

More please.

There’s been a few on there (mainly ones with BBC backing, I think) – Kidulthood was on a while ago. All streaming-only though, no download.

yes, I saw that. Not that I want to admit to trying to watch such a pants film but it was not available to download unfortunately, so I was getting that really annoying delay every couple of minutes and gave up.

JTownend’s last blog post..Whose responsibility is it anyway? Could survival of the fittest mean journalists reclaiming story ownership?

Would you please refrain from illiteracy such as “that sorta thing” in your writings for the BBC. What the University of Lincoln thinks of that sort of thing I can only imagine.

I olnly noticed this last week and it is really great to see that they have made quite a few family films available over the holiday period including pirates of the carribean, shaggy dog and bridge to terabithia.

it will be great if this continues and they start making other films available although I suspect that itunes and video rental places may not be as happy if people start check there first when looking for a film to sit down with
