Yes, it is true that in an on-demand world where websites can serve up raw footage and accompany video with copy, &quot;filler&quot; or &quot;variety&quot; techniques like the piece-to-camera seem redundant.  But by relying solely on VO, don&#039;t we risk making video journalism robotic and impersonal, like EuroNews?  Isn&#039;t it important to maintain and build on a rapport with an audience, now that personal blogs and one-(wo)man operations like Gnooze rule the roost?</description>
