Look to your left…

And you’ll see a new sidebar thing. This is a neat little app called feedjournal that makes a blog into a printable, newspaper-like page. Pretty nifty, and doesn’t do too bad a job either.

Utterly useless though, no?

Maybe better for bloggers who write big, long posts that aren’t to screen friendly.

What do you think?

Looks smart mate! Although it’s another application I’m not even going to try bothering with!

  2. Would be interesting to see it extract any links in an article, convert them to a TinyURL and place them at the foot of a piece.

Although I wonder how many people actually sit beside a computer and type in a website address off a newspaper page???

    Hi Dave,

I think the Feedjournal application is useful for readers creating a newspaper of your RSS feeds like I’ve done on my blogsite and for content providers to monetize their feeds. Also, I think the app is great for local Newspapers. Local Content, Local Ads. Also I can see Businesses using this type of RSS feed formating strategy for Newsletters, Reports and such.

I like to print stuff out that I want to read and maybe even take notes on. After all paper is highly portable an Ad on a sheet of paper has a longer shelf life than an Ad on a Website. Also don’t discount the toilet crowd, who wants to read in the bathroom with their computer, phone or blackberry? With paper you can read it and throw it way.
Its Paper- profoundly simple and useful.
